The Red Wristband | Creepypasta

Have you ever been to a hospital before, if so you might have also noticed that when you're admitted in a hospital, you are given a wristband with your name on it. There are other kinds of wristbands too, such as the yellow wristband for the last stage of their lives and a red one for the dead.

There was a surgeon named Thomas. Thomas used to work in night shifts usually and this night wasn't any different. Thomas had just finished a surgery and was on his way to the basement to change his dress and go home for the Christmas, as it was the Christmas Eve.

As Thomas stepped in the elevator he found Gloria already in the elevator. Gloria was a middle aged woman, admitted in the hospital for a long time, due to her blood cancer. Thomas usually enjoyed chatting with her.

When the door opened another woman was about to enter, when Thomas slammed the close button and pushed the button to the highest floor. Gloria was a bit shocked and reprimanded Thomas for being so rude and asked him why didn't he let the woman in.

The colour of Thomas's face turned white as he said with a broken voice, " She was the woman I just operated on. She died on my table, in front of my eyes, didn't you see the red wristband on her hand."

The middle aged lady smiled and raised her arm, "Something like this"
